AFTERCARE GUIDE
Your tattoo is an investment. Follow these guidelines to ensure proper healing and long-lasting results.
You will leave with a protective film — depending on the case, it will be a cling film cover or a stick-on second skin.
Important: When using paper towels or cling film, always use the internal side since the outside is in contact with the external environment. If the first papers of the roll were exposed, remove them and use the following ones.
Always wash your hands well before touching your tattoo.
For Cling Film:
- Leave the protective wrap for 2-4 hours.
- Wash gently: Once you remove the wrap, gently wash your tattoo using lukewarm water and fragrance-free soap. Making some foam to spread on the area will help remove residues.
- Dry carefully: Pat dry with a clean paper towel (avoid cloth towels, as they can harbour bacteria).
- Do not re-wrap unless necessary to protect from harmful elements. If ensured that it will remain clean, it's always better to let your tattoo breathe.
If re-wrapped: It should be clean and dry before applying another film layer. Cling film prevents skin from breathing, so never use it for more than a couple hours. If used inappropriately, moisture and warmth can build bacteria.
For Second Skin:
- Leave the protective wrap for 3 days.
- It is advisable to remove it gently under a warm shower.
- Wash gently: Once you remove the wrap, gently wash your tattoo using lukewarm water and fragrance-free soap. Making some foam to spread on the area will help remove residues.
- Dry carefully: Pat dry with a clean paper towel.
- Do not re-wrap unless necessary. If you think it's necessary, consult your artist.
